When you call, give the patient's blood group, hospital and how urgently blood is needed.
Who can donate
A healthy person aged 18–60 weighing at least 45 kg (100 lb) can usually donate. People with blood-transmitted diseases or drug addiction cannot donate.
Donor benefits
- A screening report of the donated blood for 5 transmitted diseases.
- Lifetime blood facility when needed — for yourself, parents, spouse or children.
- Donor ID card and lifetime membership of the Police Blood Bank.
